The path that we propose is the following.

We start from the hotel (point 1) by car. We take along with us water and a snack. We go through the village and follow direction towards Kato Chora. The street has been recently paved.

Just before Kato Chora we meet a rural street on the left (point 2). We follow that street either by car or by foot. The street is only 1.5 kilometers but you have to be very careful if you go by car not to scratch it underneath, especially during rainy periods. When we reach the river we find an open space and we park the car (point 3).

From there you can clearly see the old path on the mountain (point 3). In some areas you will have to climb and it might be quite difficult, but the majority of the path is quite comfortable to walk on. We continue parallel to the gorge, which you can cross with the help of the stone bridge if you want to continue up to Ampelakiotissa.

On the bridge we take a break and enjoy every moment away from our modern civilization. The stone arch, the path as well as the view can travel us back in time. In order to keep it that way for the next generations to come, we don't destroy it by removing stones. The path continues to the next village but the return can be quite exhausting. Attention: if we return by the river, where we can swim during summertime, we might get confused. There is a point were two tributaries are linked forming the main river. We should follow the right one. The left one takes us away from our starting point and at one point becomes inaccessible because of abrupt rocks.
