- We take Attica Highway which begins from the Athens International Airport with direction to Corinthos.
- We continue with direction to Patras and pass Xylokastro, Diakofto and Aigio.
- Just before Patras, at the 205 km we take the right to Rio-Antirio bridge (Charilaos Trikoypi) or to the junction Rio-Antirio if we prefer to cross by ferry boat.
- Immediately afterwards the bridge, we turn right to Nafpactos.
- In Nafpactos we have the choice to take the regional road or to go through the city. Which ever way we follow we look for signs to Oreini Naypaktia or Ano Chora. In Nafpactos we find the last gas station and it is a good idea to fill the tank of the car.
- We reach Kato Dafni and Grigoritika villages.
- We drive outside Eypalio and by two small villages, Drossato and Filothei.
- Much later we reach the first village of Oreini Naypaktia, Limnitsa.
- Just after Limnitsa, we reach an intersection and have two choices. We either take the old road that leads through the villages Terpsithea and Elatou or we take the new road by turning to the left. The new road is 10 km shorter and less winding. During winter the old road through the villages gets cleaned from the snow more often.
- The hotel is on the right when entering Ano Chora village.
We recommend to you...
Winter: The snow covered landscape is enchanting but also adventurous. The municipality keeps always the road open with the snow plows and with the use of salt for the ice. Car chains are essential. Don't forget gloves and scarf for comfortable and warm walks.
Spring: An umbrella could be useful for sudden spring showers. Nature is at its best this season and comfortable shoes for walks can be very useful.
Summer: Swimsuit and a towel for the swimming pool are most essential as well as sun protective cream since the sun at this altitude can be very strong.
Autumn: An umbrella can be useful at this time of the year. Foliage can achieve the most incredible colors so don't forget your camera.
